17361 2001-08-21 11:19:00 I foolishly let Norton Ultilities fix an issue with QuickTime 3.0 - wrong dates? Now when I launch it the following error message appears: 'QUICKTIMEPLAYER caused a general protection fault in module RFMDCI.DRV at 0002:00000a7e.' Upgrading to QuickTime 4 or 5 does not help as the same message appears. I am running Win 98SE, IE 5.5 SP1 and QuickTime 2.03!

Thanks

17362 2001-08-21 11:55:00 Run the uninstaller, then delete any quicktime folders you have. Then run REGCLEAN (from MS homepage) to remove any references to it.

If this doesn't work, run REGEDIT and search for quichtime, and remove any references to it (Backup the registry first).

Then try a reinstall.
