| 17343 | 2001-08-21 09:30:00 | I have 2 computers one running Win98 SE, and one running Win 2000. Let me first point out that i have read the article on the main page and it doens't help me. From Win 2000 I can access the Network drives on the win 98 pc, but when I try to do it the other way I am prompted for a password. I have no idea what it might be and how to change it. I've tried my administrator password and every other password I ever use, Any ideas Thanks Ashley |

Right click the folders/drives you want to share and select the sharing option. Then change the access type to Read Only, or Full - whatever suits. Matt |

I operate a network with WinME and Win98, and when I set up the Network from Win98 I was asked if I wanted to put a password in place. As I don't want a password, Ijust clicked it off, and it proceeds OK. But my first reaction was 'I didn't know I had one!' HTH Regards Graham |
