17302	2001-08-20 12:06:00	When I am quite happily surfing the 'net, the connection sporadically hangs. That is, it stays connected, but just does nothing. It happens for varying amounts of time, but it probably sits for about a minute before it decides to get back to work. The time between hangs would vary also, but roughly every 5-15 minutes. I have had the problem for a while, but it is really starting to annoy these days. I am running and AMD K6-2 500MHz, 196MB RAM with an ADSL connection (3Com internal PCI card). I previously had a 56K modem, and it did the same, so I am almost sure it isn't the hardware, but more than likely a setting somewhere... Can somebody pleeeeaaase help! Thanks	Guest (0)
17303	2001-08-20 22:30:00	Similar problem except mine didn't restart until I rebooted the machine. When it hung it stayed hung!. Nothing else worked. I ended up reinstalling win2k and since then no problems. I guess it relates to file corruption, possibly in IE, that MS haven't told us about.	Guest (0)
