17549 2001-08-25 01:19:00 When I delete my Creative web cam due to a start up fault I am told there are 5 registry values that I have to delete manually. When I go through regedit and follow the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURR ENTVERSION\RUNONCE the RUNONCE folder is empty.apart from the default not set.My start up problem coincidentaly occures 5 times and then won't start.

17550 2001-08-25 04:05:00 Are you saying that you want to uninstall the creative web cam software. If so have you used the software's own uninstall, gone through control panel/add remove, or used 3rd part uninstallers etc. Uninstalling then reinstalling might fix the problem?

Also try putting the name of the software in the edit/find in regedit, there may be keys in obscure folders which are causing the problems.

17551 2001-08-25 05:18:00 Download and use Regcleaner. www.jv16.org. It will remove safely any unused registry entries Guest (0)
17552 2001-08-25 08:38:00 Firstly as you've probably done already, in Windows find and delete ALL references to the creative web cam software using 'Start/find/files files or folders' including the existence of old installation files in your TEMP or TMP folders. If using Windows explorer make sure the show all files is enabled in View/Folder Options.

Back up the registry and see if you can find any references using the edit/find tool as mentioned in the posting above - make sure keys, values, & data boxes are ticked.

Finally see if this trial version utility helps. It shows you the list of software that is registered under Run, RunOnce, RunOnceEx and RunService registry keys.

Good Luck.
