17493 2001-08-23 10:24:00 I recently installed Office 2000 SP1 & 2 but forgot to shut down the shortcut bar before doing so.

Now it appears that ALL my shortcuts on the shortcut bar seem to point to the last programme I accessed from the bar.

Repairing the install hasn't worked - am I going to have to reinstall the whole suite again or is there some other way to fix it?

cheers
John

17494 2001-08-24 00:08:00 hi John,
I can't stand that bar so I don't have one handy to give you exact instructions. However, when this would happen to our machines we were able to cure it by right clicking each shortcut and pressing the 'Find Target' button, then OK.

17495 2001-08-24 14:01:00 Hi anon(?)

No, that didn't work - it would appear that the .lnk file that points to my apps has been corrupted.

I didn't use to like the shortcut bar until I decided to throw most of my most used apps on to it under different tabs, graphics, webdesign, office oh and games etc. and restricted it to the title bar - I found it fast and fairly unobtrusive and I had less icons cluttering my desktop.

Anyone else care to have a go?

thanks

John
