17471 2001-08-23 06:06:00 How bout trying www.powerdefrag.com that is suppose to do the trick better than poo windows one. Guest (0)
17472 2001-08-23 08:42:00 you could try www.tweakfiles.com but like powerdefrag it uses windows defrag.
other wise buy nortons systemworks it has some good tools. note nortons antivirus 2002 has just come out.

17473 2001-08-23 12:25:00 TIP...users running Windows9x will find a *huge* improvement in performance if they use the Defrag Utility that comes bundled with ME.

Some observers have commented that this function is the only improvement that ME has over the Win9x OS.

The ME Defrag Utility runs on Windows 9x and can be downloaded free from the following site:

surecool.com

Cheers!!!

17475 2001-08-24 09:58:00 Hey e_
Great tip, this ME defrag flys.

17476 2001-08-25 01:25:00 I find you must close all running programs.Cntrl-Alt-delete
except explorer and systray and the normal windows defrag works extra fast
