17564	2001-08-25 02:03:00	Hi, The computer's screen saver (3d text) is comming on after 5 minutes (as set) and then after 10 minutes the computer goes on standby. However 5 minutes later the computer starts up again and shows the screen saver for another 5 minutes over and over again. How do I stop it cycling like this? The computer is running mediakey 1.1 and PowerKey. Its a PIII500 128MB PC Company Computer with WIN98SE. I looked at the Bios settings and am not sure if they are right.So here they are: Award Power Managment setUp ACPI funtion: Diabled Power Mang: User Defined Video off: after suspend Soft of by PWRBTN: Delay 4 sec HDD Powerdown: Disabled Doze Mode: Disabled Suspend Mode: Disabled **Power Mangement Events** VGA: On LPT & COM: LPT/COM HDD &FDD : On Modem Ring Resume: Enabled RTC Alarm Resume: Disabled Primary INTR: On IRQ 3 (to 7): Primary IRQ8 (RTC Alarm ): Disbaled IRQ9 (to)11: Seondary IRQ12: Mouse Primary IRQ13: Coprocessor Primary IRQ14: HD Primary IRQ15: Disabled In the windows Power schemes it is set for home office desk standby 10 mins Monitor 10 mins and HD 1 hour. Also we don't use the sleep button on the BTC 9000 keyboard as it starts to sleep then immdiately wakes up. Hardley used it when it did work as when the keyboard was slid in, the mouse often moved waking it up agian. So does disabling the mouse interrupt 12 stop the mouse waking the computer up? Also the system is quite unstable as the computer freezes frequently (usally when moving the mouse) and there is a lot of invalid memory accesses.
