17547 2001-08-25 05:41:00 Ive actually stopped unsing getright because opera does resuming itself with was my main use. Getright does have a plugin for opera if you need the other functions.

There are heaps of settings to hunt for in preferences the best i've found are:

Set the caching of text to be about 30mins otherwise you will be hitting refresh heaps, eg this site. It does much smarter caching than the other browsers.

Under images I have disabled sounds and video in webpages. Also I have disable animated GIFs which are anoying.

Under plugins I have disabled plugins and java in web pages.

Under privacy I you can set opera to delete your cookies when you exit so you dont bet blocked by sitees that need cookies.

And under windows unchecking 'let apps open new windows' will disable popups etc.

Thats what i've found so far, but theres probably more. I also like how detailed the status bar is compared to the others.

17548 2001-08-25 06:17:00 i find the built in downloader passable. getright was always crashhappy and jetcar/flashget dosn't intergrate with opera so i'm back to using DAP if i can get it to intergrate properly. Guest (0)
