| 17511 | 2001-08-24 07:02:00 | How do I remove icons from task bar that appear where the time is displayed when they don't want to go! i.e when I right click there is no DELETE option. Have trouble finding them in Windows and System directories. Specifically: screensaver control, mixer. Running Windows 98 SE |

| 17513 | 2001-08-24 09:05:00 | All the icons near the clokc are running tasks, so they are actually slowing your computer down. The windows mixer icon can be disabled by going to the multimedia control panel, and unticking 'Show volume conrol on the taskbar'. For the others, try running MSCONFIG and unticking everything you dont need from the startup tab. But as has been said, some programs will turn it backon unless you disable it through them. Many of these let you rickt click the icon and choose disable, eg realplayer. |
