The taskbar on Windows XP Home Edition just tripled in size and the solutions from Microsoft do not return it to its original one line size. I'd like to get it back to what it has been for years. |

Right-click the taskbar and make sure it's unlocked. Then grab the top of the taskbar and drag it down. |

I tried that with no effect. Any other suggestion? |

This is going from memory, so you'll have to look ( the icons on the right of the taskbar may all be stacked together) -- right click the taskbar / Properties, look for something that refers to grouping the icons, make sure its unticked, you should then be able to drag the taskbar down in size as pcuser42 advised. |
