| 1254884 | 2012-01-18 22:25:00 | Well reasoned and thought out. I can't help but reflect on how much of current regulatory thinking is shaped by copyright lawyers and the like. Somewhat self serving and in my view way off track with original concepts which were to ensure the artist was adequately compensated. Likewise a user licence should have an end by date. But that would stop the rise of the Microsofts of this world. And income for the legal fraternity. |

| 1254886 | 2012-01-18 22:51:00 | There was a time when records(yes) I bought could be returned/exchanged if i didnt like them No longer. I have a huuuuge stack of CD's I will never play, simply because they are rubbish that should never have been sold or released. Can I please get a refund on those, being sub par material. Does the CGA apply here, not fit for intended use. I will never again buy a CD without downloading & listening to the whole thing 1st. This has saved me hundreds of $$ as almost everything Ive downloaded isnt good enough for me to want to buy it (or keep the download) I think Ive bought 4 Cd's last year. 4 CD's I wanted , rather than buy 100 & keep 4 , as used to be the case. Mr Record Company. How can you possibly release a "greatest hits' CD that obviously is missing 1/3 of the bands 'hits' & has live/unplugged versions of some other 'hits' Isnt that simply fraud ?? |

| 1254887 | 2012-01-18 22:58:00 | His views are pretty 99% the same as mine, except I do like CDs, because (unless you buy a stupid DRM one, which there aren't many of) you are guaranteed of good quality and there are no zone restrictions. Purchasing online is stupid because NONE of the big stores (Amazon, iTunes etc) sell FLAC. I once emailed Amazon asking if they had plans to sell FLAC or any other lossless format to which the reply was "What is FLAC and lossless?" |

| 1254888 | 2012-01-18 23:27:00 | Well I disagree. I hate DRM I hate Steam. I still buy games. The money is too much - take a look at pricing in different countries - all different. It still doesn't justify theft. He says how much money goes to the artist of the songs? Well how much goes to them when it's not paid for at all? And CDs don't last....gee, neither did records or tapes. Once if you wanted music in your home, you hired a group of musicians. |
