1254610 2012-01-17 01:16:00 Hey all

Does anyone know who the NZ importer for Kindle is? Who Dick Smith and all the other source them from?

Cheers

1254611 2012-01-17 01:58:00 I think Dick Smith and countdown are the only places that have them and they are part of the same company. I suspect they import them themselves.
I got mine direct from Amazon and it was slightly cheaper, took about a week to arrive, and was a model not stocked here.
If you are looking to sell them maybe you should contact Amazon, although I guess you'd need an import licence.

1254612 2012-01-17 05:02:00 Authorized reseller list for kindle on Amazon. (www.amazon.com) Seems to be Auzzie DSE and Woolworths under NZ category, since WW own DSE (www.nzherald.co.nz) (news that mentions kindle arrangement). kahawai chaser (3545)

Unfortunately if you want a big range of content you have to go with a big corporate, amazon being one of them

Most of us just want the biggest range and best price available, amazon is definitely a contender those fronts. And the kindle definitely a handy device.

If you prefer to pay more and deprive yourself of choice because you object to the supplier that's your right I guess.
