| 1254545 | 2012-01-16 21:23:00 | Hey all, I am sick of waiting for ICS to come out on a OTA update so am looking at manually updating it on my Nexus S. I am on 2.3.6 Baseband: I9023XXKF1 Kernel: 2.6.35.7 I have heard some stories of it bricking certain phone versions so wondered if anyone has done it and what their experience of ICS on their Nexus S is like. Thanks Heaps. |

I have had a few go through a borked flash process and as long as it can get to download mode you can reflash again correctly. Once accidentally flashed the wrong firmware (lots of different ixxxxx named phones :p) and it survived nicely. That being said, there is still that possibility it can go bad for you, I say go for it but its not completely foolproof! |
