| 1254714 | 2012-01-20 01:02:00 | Tell me how much positive advertising would be earned if they took a hit on some of the money and rehoused the animals elsewhere (or at least helped find alternative homes), The value of that would far outweigh any losses. I believe it is just a typical example of corporations bulldozing the little people again... Rabobank have been paying to feed and provide veterinary care for the animals for 15 months. How much positive advertising and public appreciation have they had for that? Zilch. Forgive me but your posts Globe are a classic example of slamming people trying to do a difficult job without a note of thanks. And yes, maybe it is time you fronted up yourself instead of expecting other people to come up with the resources. Incidentally, you may not have noticed but quite a few banks have gone belly up around the world. They are not the bottomless pits of money you imagine. |

What about staff, food suppliers, vet bills, etc. Any Investors and the like will lose out more than anyone as they are not debtors. Any money that's taken out of the business means less chance someone owed money will get paid. The receivers Job is to get what they can for any assets and distribute it to whoever's owed money, not to keep the animals fed and alive. I don't have the solution, and no one is saying they should be put down. But I'm trying to point out it's the management of Zion who are resposible not the receivers who are cleaning up the financial mess. Somebody mentioned the Animals might have to be put down and started and uproar, but I believe they were just stating the facts not saying it was a desirable solution. this whole thread could have been avoided if some idiot didn't make that statement. |
