I tried icows system and it worked, not sure how as to me it wasn't very clear, but as said, will work on all of your info.

Basically take the URL of your desired video, for example:
www.youtube.com

Replace the "www." part with "save" and you get:
saveyoutube.com

Easy. It just fires up Java on your machine (most PC's have it) and you're done :)

At what stage do you do the change?

I tried when watching a youtube and nothing happened.

You can chose between quality and various formats available...

All you have to do, after getting JDownloader, is copy the youtube link and it gives you the following options to download:
oi39.tinypic.com

It is a very handy tool. Works for a lot more than youtube, too.
