1254800 2012-01-18 04:35:00 I remember Dr. Jonas Salk saying that indoor toilets and civil sewer systems were responsible for the outbreak of Infantile Paralysis - polio.

It seems that outhouses and the drainage of fecal waste and bacteria into the water table created a natural immunity to the germ, and when it was no longer in the water supply the outbreak in children without the natural immunity opened the Pandora's Box on it.
