2012-05-29 06:05:00 | I bought a GPU of trademe for my bro. and it has a few corrupted pixels. Trying to get a refund as it was not reported in the auction www.trademe.co.nz the PC running it has a insufficient PSU and I am trying to get a new one for to run better cards. Anyway, what causes these pixels to corrupt??:illogical | ChazTheGeek (16619) | |
2012-05-29 06:44:00 | Need more details, screenshots would be nice. Sounds more like a duff LCD screen than the video card (had a Viewsonic monitor that had bright pixel problems from time to time). Had to dump my old 7600GS card recently when it caused a corrupted video display with faint blue lines all over the place.

2012-05-29 08:16:00 | Maybe, the screen is not faulty because it worked well with the former card which was taken out the same day I put in the 'new' card. Could be the PSU. The GPU is 5 years old btw. The corrupted pixels flicker on the screen they are blue and white.

2012-05-29 08:41:00 | Nup. Don't have to any way, could just test the monitor on a different PC, have plenty of those. | ChazTheGeek (16619) | |
2012-05-29 09:18:00 | Yeah, that could work. | stratex5 (16685) | |
2012-05-29 10:37:00 | Trying to get a refund on a $26 card and its reported in the auction as faulty :illogical Only one D-Dvi link works of the two, S-video out works perfectly . I'd say you may be tough out of luck, esp if its known and described to have a fault . Warning bells should have rung when its listed as having that fault . Wouldn't be at all surprised a fault in the card is causing the problem .
