Good time for the panel beaters however. My own interpretation of the rule change boils down to the following: The vehicle that gives way is the vehicle that is crossing other lanes of traffic. I reckon this is going to see some intersections get long lines of traffic stopped up along the centre lanes trying to get a break to allow them to turn right. Particularly when they're trying to cross two or more opposing lanes. |

Once it comes into effect, it wouldnt surprise me if there are more accidents initially due to confussion in some drivers who have been driving the way they have since day one. I guess we will see in a few months. Time to weld dodgem bars around the car :) |

| 1254652 | 2012-01-17 09:01:00 | I seem to remember when they changed the intersection rules twenty odd years ago there were fewer accidents at intersections. Nobody was sure who had the right of way so everybody approached intersections with caution until they got used to the new rules. | Bobh (5192) | ||
