| 17749 | 2001-08-28 10:30:00 | Upgraded my wifes computer with a format of hard disk and reinstall of Win98(first edition). On closing it shuts down but stays in the screen 'Windows is shutting Down.'rather than 'you can shutdown now'. No big deal for me but bothers 'Her Indoors'. Any solution? Regards. |

If that doesn't work goto windowsupdate and get all the patches, atleast the relevent ones as some of the others have messed up my system in the past. I found this quote other day: 'As the patch is evidently the cause of the problem, Microsoft is currently working on a fix for the patch' - M$ |
