We have two computers which have a home network, they both have Internet Explorer and Netscape Browsers. One will not open any Microsoft sites on the netscape browsers. The following message comes up -'Netscape is unable to locate server 1c1. law 13 hotmail. passport.com. Please check the server name and try again'. Can anybody help with this problem or other than that tell us how to change the default browser to Internet explorer on the problem computer |

Hi. In Internet Explorer go: Tools, Internet Options, Programs, then check the tick-box where it says: Internet Explorer should check... etc.
I suspect that Microsoft are disallowing visitors using Netscape browsers - quite easy for them to do, although there are workarounds. |

Had similar problem with Netscape & Xtra. On desktop have shortcut for Xtra & Netscape. When the problem occurs usually after a illegal operation whilst on the Internet, I open Xtra & when connected then open Netscape. After this sequence Netscape opens with the Netscape shortcut as per usual. Frank. |
