17622 2001-08-25 22:18:00 We have two computers which have a home network, they both have Internet Explorer and Netscape Browsers. One will not open any Microsoft sites on the netscape browsers. The following message comes up -'Netscape is unable to locate server 1c1. law 13 hotmail. passport.com. Please check the server name and try again'. Can anybody help with this problem or other than that tell us how to change the default browser to Internet explorer on the problem computer Guest (0)

I suspect that Microsoft are disallowing visitors using Netscape browsers - quite easy for them to do, although there are workarounds.

17624 2001-08-28 02:11:00 Had similar problem with Netscape & Xtra. On desktop have shortcut for Xtra & Netscape. When the problem occurs usually after a illegal operation whilst on the Internet, I open Xtra & when connected then open Netscape. After this sequence Netscape opens with the Netscape shortcut as per usual. Frank. Guest (0)
