17934	2001-09-02 00:48:00	Does the CD Rom drive eject when you press the button (to see if power is okay). Next, I guess you look in control panel, system, devices, to see if there are any red or yellow warnings next to it. Chances are it isn't physical failure of the drive, more likely to be a problem with the driver. You could try removing the driver and looking for new hardware and see if it finds it (you don't mention which OS but most will do this except NT4). Rob C	Guest (0)
