17837 2001-08-30 08:20:00 I' have a HP 6615 win. 98se which I have already upgraded the RAM to 182mb.
Recently I tried to install and additional 128mbRAM in the third slot, and while windows accepted the addition, the computer will not restart or reboot.
any ideas whould be appreciated thanks

17838 2001-08-30 08:42:00 Am confused, how do you mean Windows accepted the memory? How can you tell if the machine won't start?
I suggest you reorder the memory with biggest modules first, or maybe leave the smallest one out (the 64Mb) and see what happens.

17840 2001-08-31 03:12:00 sorry I wasnt quite clear the computer boots correctly after installing the RAM, but when restarting the computer locks, and wont complete, or it will restart correctly, but when turned off, and turned back on in 10 minutes, it again locks, and windows refuses to load.
Many thanks for the ideas.
