18205 2001-09-05 10:25:00 Hi.

Recently a freind of mine had his powersupply die, so I stole the cooling fan from it before he turfed it. My tower case has a special cooling fan case for a second cooling fan to slot into, so pluged it in. All was working fine, but the very odd slightly fat fan didnt quite fit the cage, Ive just recently found another standard fan. (the fans were the correct spec as recomended form mainboard manual) I did exactly as I should, checked the mainboard manual, used an earthing strap etc, but now neither of the fans will work. Have I damaged anything?? Not that its that important but i feel uneasy about it.

Thanks in advance

You could also try a connecter to allow you to attach the fan to one of the powersupply connectors, which is what I use.
