18169 2001-09-04 10:59:00 When I purchased this computer
it was a demo model,software all installed,in the toolbar I have McAfee icons,I have purchased Norton Anti Virus,but I cannot get rid of the McAfee icons,have removed the programme but these have defeated me,can you advise please.

If its the one beside the start button, then you can right click them and choose delete.

If its in the start menu, right click the start button and choose open, then browse to where the icons are.

18171 2001-09-05 01:04:00 When you say 'toolbar' you don't mean the bar next to the time on the very bottom right hand corner of the screen.
This is the system tray and is basically programs that have been loaded when windows starts up.
You will either need to uninstall them in add/remove in control panel, or do what bm suggested and delete them from your startup.
