| 18416 | 2001-09-08 03:48:00 | Often a print job stops an inch or so down the page with a Printers Folder message 'There was an error writing to USB/Deskjet 810C/SG95I1V1GBFY for the printer ... The printer is not ready. Make sure it is turned on & online ... etc'. The end result is Cancel, power the printer off, try again, probably fail. Sometimes Econofast will work but poor quality. Generally the problem is not on a doc of total B&W text, but very small amounts of graphics seem a problem. This is a 400Mhz AMD (upgrade), 80MB RAM, Win 98 SE. Any fix suggestions very welcome. |

I chose USB to be 'fast' but the hassle may force me back to parallel (just hope I don't get the same problem). I've got the original CD from HP so can use that instead of the web support links. Before I commit I'II watch this discussion for a day or two in case more ideas surface. Many thanks for your advice. | Guest (0) | ||
