18407 2001-09-08 00:37:00 The current issue of NZ PC World refers to the October 2000 issue (which I do not have) as having the instructions for clearing the index.dat file in IE. Can someone tell me how to do this in DOS? Cheers. Guest (0)
18408 2001-09-08 01:29:00 Type index.dat into the search box above & you'll find heaps of recent info Guest (0)
18409 2001-09-08 01:31:00 I dont have the cd either but heres how I used to do it.

Goto shutdown, restart in DOS mode.

Then type :

DELTREE /Y C:\WINDOWS\TEMPOR~1\*.*

DELTREE /Y C:\WINDOWS\HISTORY\*.*

DELTREE /Y C:\WINDOWS\COOKIES\*.*

Make sure you copy them down correctly (There are only 3 lines if press f1 breaks them up).
