Do you know about Ascii files, or how to edit the Pegasus Mail User Dictionary? I can find the .PMD file, and can read it, and can copy the words as text and edit the list in MS Word, but how do I get the edited list back as a .PMD file? Thanks. |

hi Steve,
before you do anything backup a copy of the PMD file before starting. If I remember correctly notpad on windows 9x is limited to 64k files or less. If the file fits into notepad I suggest you use it for editing. I never trust word to save pure text correctly. Wordpad would be the weapon of choice on 9x if notepad won't cut it. Just save the file as a TXT file to make it ascii, then change the extension to PMD |

Thanks for the reply - I use Edit Pad instead of Notepad, which can take a lot more than 63k (and has more features) - anyway, I did as you suggest and it worked! |
