| 18603 | 2001-09-10 16:04:00 | hi i have a HP Pavilion 8603 with polk audio speakers during start up and shutdown my speakers make a crack sound.. if anyone could help that would be great cheers |

| 18604 | 2001-09-11 00:27:00 | If you mean a pop when you restart, that is quite common (but not very good for the speakers). My guess is it is the soundcard being initalised, and shutdown. The only real soloution seems to be getting a quality soundcard, or turning off the speakers (although I think yours aren't powered). |
