| 18530 | 2001-09-10 00:03:00 | i have a PII 350 with 13GB HD, 196 RAM, HP CD-Writer, running Windows SE. The last few days on startup I get a msg for Explorer saying it's caused an Illegal error and will be closed. I get these msg's when i try to start Nortons Anti Virus, CD writer, Explorer (when trying to copy files), Nortons Speed Disk, Word. I can still open Outlook and send/receive emails ok. Does this sound like a Virus has got into my system? Or something completely different? I'm unsure where to start in trying to work it out. Appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks alot. |

| 18531 | 2001-09-10 01:04:00 | I have seen similar problems after someone installed Norton Utilities - the safe ??? program specifically. If the problem started just after a Norton Utility install then that might be the culprit. | Guest (0) | ||
