18516 2001-09-09 22:30:00 A while back there was a reference in PC World to a little program that would enable printing out of file lists from Windows Explorer. Now that I need that program I can't find it in my back copies. Can someone help me to find it? Thanks for any help. Ken. Guest (0)

18519 2001-09-10 06:00:00 Or course the Mac has only just got a command prompt, which I consider a required feature.

At the MS-DOS prompt you can use a command like:

DIR /B/S C:\*.MP3 > C:\LIST.TXT

(
Will make a list of all the MP3s on your system.

Will make a list of all the MP3s on your system.

Or:

DIR /B/S 'C:\My documents\*.*' > C:\LIST.TXT

Will make a list of all files in My Documents

In both cases the list is saved as a text file in C:\LIST.TXT.
