| 18766 | 2001-09-13 10:44:00 | I have just gained control of an Windows NT Workstation SP4 PC that has had many users prior to myself, & all or some of them added & removed hardware & software, but none of the drivers were removed. It takes an eternity for the thing to start up with a few error messages about drivers & software failing. All the users prior to myself started the machine & logged on as administrator, so they had full privileges, but not the smarts to take care of the unit. Can somebody tell me how to edit the startup menu or files to clean the startup menus? I'm sure I read it recently in one of the PC World mags, but having just moved half way accross the country, somehow I lost a few precious copies. Many Thanks |
