| 18700 | 2001-09-12 09:52:00 | I have word 7 installed on an AMD 500mhz machine under win98. When I load Word and click on the drop down fonts list, it takes about 30 seconds to apparently sort itself out and present me with the font list. Once done in that session there are no more delays, but exit and re enter and the delay comes back. It appears OK with Publisher 2000. Also, with my deskjet 710c it seems to take an eternity (like 15 seconds) while it thinks about things and presents me with the printer window, even for a simple document. Any suggestions anyone? Reinstalling Word and the printer have no effect. Cheers |
