| 18674 | 2001-09-12 01:25:00 | I have recently begun to upgrade my window 2000 Professional with the new service packs 1 and 2. I have also downloaded internet explorer 6 as well. I want to keep a copy of the install files for these upgrades but can't figure out where the heck the files are stored too. I've searched my machine and found possible install files but can't make head nor tails of which is which. HELP!!! :O I really don't want to have to download these files again, (w2kpro-sp1 18-20 megs, w2ksp2 50-80megs and IE6 12-15 megs)if I have to do a re-install of windows. Again....HELP!!!! |

Perhaps you could redownload that and select that option. I have had no luck saving the service packs either. I had a problem when I downloaded a service pack for Office 2000, so I had to cancel, and then I couldn't restart it, I had to download the pack again (which I haven't done) |

They (Microsoft) called it a downloadable version and is for network administrators. Anyone can download it though. Good luck |
