| 18999 | 2001-09-18 05:51:00 | When installing windows me or 98 it asks for a name for the computer. The question is having given it a name and finished the installation how does one rename the computer? Thanks, Don |

Once that is open, click on the 'Identification' tab at the top of the window, and you will see three boxes where you can type stuff, one of them being 'Computer Name', which you can now type in the new name. Once you press OK it may ask for your Win98 or WinME CD (I don't know why, sometimes it asks for it, sometimes it doesn't, even if I don't change any other settings.) Hope this helps. |
