18971 2001-09-17 09:02:00 I got a new mainboard today(Microstar Ms6330).
The processor i got with it is 1400mhz athlon.
when set the cpu FSB to 133mhz, the detects the processor but a few seconds it comes up with an i\o error and then ask for a boot disk.
I have had to change the FSB setting to 100mhz so my computer will run.

18972 2001-09-17 09:45:00 i had a very quick search. it seems that the board is only a 100mhz bus. i suggest checking the manual to see what speeds it suports. Guest (0)
18973 2001-09-17 09:50:00 If you got the CPU and board as a combo from somewhere, you may want to take them back if the board will only run at 100Mhz rather than 133... although this does depend on what they said when they sold it to you. Guest (0)
18974 2001-09-17 09:56:00 have a look at www.msi.com.tw

not 100% sure this is your board.
