18959 2001-09-17 05:15:00 I had been in the BIOS set-up and went to answer the phone and my 2 year old mashed the keyboard - GGRRRRRR!!
When I boot my machine now, PII with Win98, the RAM counts thru 3 times. Unbearable with 256MB of RAM. I know I can bypass this by pressing the ESC key but often switch it on and forget - also the wife is on my case. Please HELP!!

P.S Maybe nothing to do with BIOS settings but it seems too much of a coincidence.

On the award bios its under Biosd features setup.

but here it is anyway

If your computer has 'Award Software' like mine you are in better luck

Press 'DEL' just after power up (You should know)
In the BIOS, go to 'BIOS feature setup'
I have my 'Quick power on self test' set on 'ENABLE'
so it skips the triple count up, yours must be on 'DISABLE'
