2012-06-04 00:14:00 | I have been handed a friends laptop which up till a couple of days ago was working fine, however she started it up to find that macafee internet security was turned off and she could not log in to Skype, i suspected an infection but after running several avs no go, i now suspect Adobe flash player was not up to date but downloaded the latest with still no luck, the other indication was that the Telecom ads on the xtra homepage would not appear and Adobe Flash player is not in the add ins toolbox on IE9 like it is on mine . The flash player is showing up on the installed programs but does not work, now i am stumped, ive gone through the support at Adobe but its beyond me now Windows7 64bit

2012-06-04 00:24:00 | Will Mcafee is not functioning at the moment and the firewall is off, all that mcafee shows is a blank control panel on the desk top and i cant switch it on, i even tried to download the mcafee virtual technician and that had the same results | PeterQ (16315) | |
2012-06-04 00:28:00 | Use its removal tool (download.mcafee.com). Once you remove it, if you want get whoever to install Teamviewer on it. If windows firewall wont turn on again. And I can have a look at it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-06-04 00:31:00 | I'll try that , ihave turned the firewall back on, only turned it off because i thought it was interfering with the flash downlod | PeterQ (16315) | |
2012-06-04 00:33:00 | Windows firewall shouldnt interfere with flash, if its on | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-06-04 00:47:00 | Still the same problem after uninstalling it | PeterQ (16315) | |
2012-06-04 00:52:00 | Put teamviewer on it. (www.teamviewer.com) Install then run it. Then send the ID and password it gives you to me in a PM. If it doesnt work, do it in safe mode / networking. If this PC is online | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
