| 1278594 | 2012-05-31 02:22:00 | Have downloaded the latest version of Wubi and have started the installation procedure but it halts giving the following error: "Cannot download the metalink and therefore the ISO" What does this mean and what can I do to correct it please? |

| 1278595 | 2012-05-31 03:51:00 | Well, I wouldn't bother with a Wubi install myself as it has been problematic for some. If you want to have a look a Kubuntu and how it will work on your system you'd be better of downloading a suitable CD image, writing it to a CD or USB flash drive and booting from that as a live session. Then, if you like it, at some stage install it on your hard drive. The solution to your Wubi problem might be here: ubuntuforums.org |

| 1278597 | 2012-05-31 05:38:00 | If you really want to use Wubi then yes, download the ISO manually and install from there. However, I also suggest you don't use Wubi as it cause more problems than it solves. |
