| 1256777 | 2012-01-31 22:57:00 | I have never found American Immigration "welcoming." When entering America it felt as though we were tolerated, not welcomed. We went to America, Anaheim in particular, to take our (then) young children to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. The people in the street were always nice and happy to help but I could not say that about the officials, such as the police. Very arrogant. Can't think of many more reasons why we would want to go again. UK and Europe are much more welcoming and interesting places to go. |

In 2003 they were pretty short tempered if you were slow removing clothing etc, no allowance for age was our main concern We stayed at Knotts Berry Farm, lovely and quiet out that way. How ever their good gun laws and use of the death penalty make up for it. Wish we could have carried a side arm, only because of their security carrying both pistol and semi-auto weapons. Pretty intimidating to say the least. We found the Asians pretty belligerent/ignorant towards us when travelling Europe by tour bus. Still that's the age we live in for now. Lurking. |

| 1256781 | 2012-02-01 05:05:00 | Went from the UK to Canada by freighter in 2000. Since I was travelling on from Philadelphia to NZ again by ship I had a US visitors visa. On the train from Montreal crossing the US border I was the only alien, they took me into an empty compartment for a grilling and then charged me some sort of immigration fee. I didn't think it worthwhile querying that.....lol |

What's more scary is that the US can detain them indefinitely and without any trial if they can use the terrorist tag so loosely. Hell, downloading copyrighted material gets you a terrorist tag. Timed to have your hands bound, a bag over your head and locked away in Guantanamo indefinitely for downloading. |
