1256578 2012-01-30 03:03:00 I've been using Chrome for a week or so, and was just wondering why I like it so much. My usual is SeaMonkey which evolved from Netscape and I'm so familiar with, but I'm interested to know who's happy (at least for now) with Chrome? Greg (193)
1256579 2012-01-30 03:29:00 I don't really get the browser thing, they all do the job much the same as far as I can see. I use IE9 on this machine and Chrome on the other because it's XP which can't update past IE8 and I like them both Just fine. dugimodo (138)
1256580 2012-01-30 03:38:00 Nup, I use Palemoon, which uses FF code, the x64 version. Tried Chrome, didnt lke it. I dont think it can save passwords either. It needs another browser (like FF) so you can import them. Might try Opera 12 once its final. I think this will be 64 bit too. And see what its like Speedy Gonzales (78)
1256581 2012-01-30 03:44:00 Just plain old Firefox here. It works and it's not Internet Explorer, so it's good enough for me. Is there a particular advantage that Chrome or the others have over Firefox? I'm curious to try another browser but not sure which. Contented (15925)
1256582 2012-01-30 03:50:00 My default browser atm is Chrome, for no particular reason. It was Firefox, but I was finding it was getting a bit slow and clunky. However the big advantage that FF has, for me anyway, is the "open all in tabs" option for say an RSS feed. I don't see that option in any of the other browsers. I also use IE9, which is actually pretty good. Tony (4941)
1256583 2012-01-30 03:53:00 I just use IE, it came with the OS, works fine with the OS, does all I need it to and dont see the need to clutter up my system with any more browsers which just do the same job. Saying that though, I have clients that need to access some particular websites that have been designed to work best with FF or Chrome, and dont have a problem with that either. I blame the website developer who cant build a website that is cross browser compatable or that suits the majority. Iantech (16386)
1256584 2012-01-30 03:56:00 I like chrome, saves passwords just fine etc, its similar to FF .... i just like the simplicity of it. rob_on_guitar (4196)
1256585 2012-01-30 05:01:00 been using firefox since it was called phoenix (does that mean I'm getting old? hope not...), don't see any need to change, works fine on all my linux/windows systems forrest44 (754)
1256586 2012-01-30 05:13:00 My default browser at home is Chrome and has been for several years. Used to use Firefox but it got slow and ugly and every time the browser updated it broke the Addons I had installed.

Chrome has not broken a single extension (addon equivalent) with any of the upgrades that have occurred automatically.

Chrome is easy, quick and reliable.

That said, I also have the other major browsers installed so I can check webpage rendering for sites I have built and support (and so I can provide assistance for those of my friends - who have not yet seen the light - when things aren't working as they should)...

IE7 is the default at my (corporate) client's site (:badpc:), but FF is an optional allowed alternate.

Chrome is for some reason still frowned upon, although I understand there is a Chrome for Corporate deployment available, so the Chrome supporters at my client's site, of whom there are many, might have to apply appropriate pressure...

I have also been an Opera and Firefox supporter in earlier years, but have found Chrome to be much better of late.

1256587 2012-01-30 05:17:00 I use IE9. Why use others?

Less to break.
