2012-06-04 00:05:00 | This: www.techspot.com Looking at that I'd skip all the recommendations so far and go for www.pp.co.nz It's a bit more but basically twice as fast as the 520 and 6450 in all those tests. It looks low profile but it'd pay to check it comes with the bracket.

2012-06-04 00:50:00 | ok thank you it seems like a good card il check to see it has brackets and that the measurements of it will fit my pc | jxer4567 (16665) | |
2012-06-04 01:06:00 | Not bad the GT 430, probably do, if it doesn't come with one you should find a bracket for it if you look around hard enough on the net. When I upgrade my PC with new RAM and CPU , I'll be saving for a decent card maybe the GTX 560 Ti.

2012-06-04 01:16:00 | gigabytes site must have the measurements of the GT 430 card wrong i have measured the inside of my pc, and the measurements for 165mm is fine but the 122mm is way to long to be realistic, but the 37 mm is fine has anyone got actual measurements cause the middle measurement 165mm x( 122mm )x 37mm seems to be wrong and unrealistic please thank you | jxer4567 (16665) | |
2012-06-04 02:05:00 | Maybe you could pick up a free case from somewhere and move everything from your old one to the new one. Would pay to as small form factor cases are bad for cooling and upgrading, especially GPU's. | ChazTheGeek (16619) | |
2012-06-04 03:07:00 | i have thought about it b4 but it has a diferent set of mobo plugs nt normal eatx + 4 eps ones completely diferent ones coming from psu to mobo connection | jxer4567 (16665) | |
2012-06-04 03:58:00 | I think the 122mm is right, it will be the height and if you compare it to this www.pp.co.nz it's actually lower - the asus 6450 is 138mm high and still low profile. Don't spend too much on a graphics card, you can get MB/CPU/RAM combos starting at $200 and a case for under $100 easily enough. www.pp.co.nz & www.pp.co.nz for example, you'd need an OS also of course. I'm not suggesting you buy those, just pointing out it's not worth spending a great deal on an older machine like yours. If you ever plan to upgrade the PC it's a good Idea if you stick to upgrades you transfer to a new machine, the graphics card obviously could be.

Ah you got one of those strange HP boards..I tried transferring a friends HP slimline motherboard with a LGA 775 Pentium 4 and the shape of the MB was awkward, so I couldn't put in the new case, I suppose I could have drilled new holes in the case. |
