1256608 2012-01-31 03:50:00 Switched to Chrome a few years ago from FF. Discovered there are so many extensions that make my browsing and searching so much easier for research purposes. Someone would have to put up a very strong argument to make me switch - the alternative would have to do everything Chrome is doing for me now, and then some.... tuiruru (12277)
1256609 2012-01-31 09:27:00 Never liked Chrome much, interface is too sparse, half the options you want to change are missing or hidden away so deeply it's a major pain to do anything. Worst part is that it comes from Google.

I mostly use IE9, IE7, Opera and Firefox, and sometimes Safari.

This is Google we're talking about here. Click on the wrench, go to Options, and then search for whatever preference you're trying to change. When you think about it like that, it's incredibly straight-forward and a very "Googl-esk" way of doing it

I tried that once, and the preferences I wanted to change didn't appear to exist.

1256614 2012-02-01 02:02:00 Did you find them manually in the end or did the settings just not exist at all? Chilling_Silence (9)

Same here. But I have so many internet and website search extensions (many which use keyboard shortcuts) and GM user scripts in FF that I use.

Must mean it's now better than IE (being only ver 9) but not as good as chrome (v16) ... :illogical
