19481 2001-09-27 03:50:00 Greetings
I am wondering how do I make windows have a certain default view of folder contents. For example. I am constantly changing all my folders to have a view of the Details rather than the default of icons layed out in a grid.

How can i change it so that every folder is the same?

19482 2001-09-27 04:31:00 Go to the 'View' menu of any My Computer window, and choose 'Folder Options', then click on the 'View' tab and you'll see a button called 'Like Current Folder'. Click this and all your windows will display the same way. Guest (0)
19483 2001-09-27 09:51:00 hi there

I too find my computer loses the view settings. I do the above (I like 'view as web page' so I can see any thumbnails and file attributes), it says changes will take effect next time I open the folders, then the next time I go into explorer it is back as it was - win 98.

Any other suggestions?
