| 19385 | 2001-09-25 01:11:00 | You should be fine with an older drive, eg 4x Maybe 8x if you system supports DMA mode. The thing to check is if you system can achieve the throughput needed for the drive. Try a disk speed benchmark, and compare it with the stated requirements. |

| 19387 | 2001-09-29 14:42:00 | Well Ive got an old P100 I use as a test machine it has a 1.2gig HDD and it writes Ok only slow but it does them Ok. a 166 will be fine just don't try to write at too high a speed Like:- Do it once do it slow do it right. |
