19422 2001-09-25 09:57:00 On their technical information site about Jetstream, Xtra says 'Windows 95/98/NT, Windows 2000 (Beta version only, Please see notes below' and the note below says 'Please note: For Windows 2000 users, only a Beta version is available at this stage. It is available but users of course must accept that it will not have the reliability of a full commercial version.'

What do they mean by this? Are they suggesting that using DSL with Win 2000 is unreliable? and what about Win ME?

I'd be grateful for responses as I am thinking of moving to one of these OS.

19423 2001-09-25 10:50:00 We are a computer repair shop, and use ADSL on a mixed network (6 pcs) of 2000, ME, and 9.x - no problems apart from the usual windozey sorts of things (not related to adsl) maybe telecom have forgotten to update the info on their site.

My suggestion if u are moving to one of these new o/s, is that unless your hardware was built in the last 18 months, forget it. (IMHO that is, use 95 on a 1995/96 machine, use 98 on a 1997/98/99 machine, and use 2k or ME on a new machine.- ortherwise you will kill it for performance - no matter what m$ say on the box - remember their marketing is more powerful than their product)
