19650 2001-09-30 01:45:00 After completing virus scan and quarantining infected files I now get message upon start-up that Windows cannot locate CPQLocal.EXE file specified in WIN.INI FILE - content type MIME (opens with notepad)and instructions to remove this file from WIN.INI. Is it safe to do this? Guest (0)
19651 2001-09-30 04:40:00 You should be fine removing any lines relating to the file from win.ini.

Its probably refering to the lines RUN= and LOAD= as they are leftovers from win 3.x for starting programs as startup.

If you want to be safe, you could put a ';' at the start of the lines to disable them rather than deleteing them.
