19895 2001-10-03 04:14:00 Yea before about I.E it is my refesh rate on my video card.
How do I know what refresh rate it should be? Is the higher the better? eg. 60hz or 85hz which is better.
I have a Nvidia geforce 2 mx 400 64mb.
Cheers. Paul

19896 2001-10-03 09:06:00 Hi Paul,

Usually higher is needed when you have a problem such as yours. That dosn't mean that the highest setting is the best as this can have other side effects.

I don't have the knowledge to tell you what to set it to (other readers might) , but I would suggest increasing it incrementally until your problem is solved, or you find that it isn't the problem after all (ie you have tried all the settings with no improvement.)

19897 2001-10-03 09:27:00 Hi Paul, if you're altering your refresh rate in Display Properties, usually Optimal works really well, however, if this doesn't work try 75Hz... higher is usually better, however it can mess things up worse, so I'd increase by one at a time until you get to something that works for you. But do check your monitor manual if you have one for the max refresh rate, cause you don't want to damage your screen. Guest (0)
