2001-10-03 03:27:00 can anyone tell me of any software i can download (as good and small as possible) that will tell me my motherboard brand and model? i have a overclocked p75 (100 now) 32MB ram win95 etc. Guest (0)
2001-10-03 04:08:00 It should be written on the screen during booting, as well as on the motherboard itself, next to the end-most ISA/PCI slot. Guest (0)
2001-10-03 04:18:00 There is no such program that I am aware of. You have to look carefully over your motherboard for a line of numbers and or letters that will identify your board and the manufacturer, then you normally go to their site and download the manual. Some old 486's take a lot of looking for, but I have never found a board yet that I couldn't identify. If you post the letters and numbers on this site, someone will probably know what it is. 19892 2001-10-03 04:23:00 yes Adrians right if you pause during post boot you can write down the bios string and use it to identify the board and manufacturer. I think Award does put out a program to identify their chips. Guest (0)
2001-10-03 04:51:00 Look at http://www.wimsbios.com/

Get your BIOS id - the long string of numbers and letters at the bottom of the screen when you first switch on the computer theng go to the relevat section for Award of AMI and you'll be able to ID the manufacturer.

2001-10-03 09:23:00 SiSoft Sandra will tell you all that (Motherboard manufacturer, chipset, bios details etc.) however, I'm unsure whether it will run on a p75, but it could be worth looking into.
