19829 2001-10-02 06:00:00 I have been sent an old TV/Video card from the US. I can't seem to get it to work on my home PC which is a Pentium III running Win 98.

I have two questions:
1. The TV/video card has a cord to plug into my video card but it is only a 26 pin plug and my video card has more than this. Should I plug it in anyway and bend the pins out of the way?

2. I can't find Win 98 drivers anywhere for the TV/video card, it only has drivers for Win 95. I have searched driver.com etc. but to no avail.

When I install the drivers, I can no longer read the screen and have to reboot to DOS and manually delete the drivers out of the .ini files.

DO I have to buy a new video card????

19830 2001-10-02 10:47:00 Really need to know the manufacturer of the video card and a model would help...But in answer to your frist question. God made pins to be used. thou shalt not bend them out of the way for lest thee destroy both card and possibly motherboard.

Question 2 USA uses the NTSC protocol for television and we use PAL unless the card is capable of both or your TV it may never work...But im sure others resondents can explain this better.
