20022 2001-10-04 08:31:00 Does anyone know if there is
any way (with Windows 98) to
cap my own upstream bandwidth? Say it is normally
4KB per second on 56K modem
and I wanted to temporarily restrict it to 2KB per second. Can Windows be tweaked or does amyone know of any 3rd party software that can do it?

eg WinMX and FTP servers.

You may be able to limit your upstream speed by entering an init. string in your modem extra settings set-up.
